Victoria Theatre, Halifax
The Victoria Theatre was originally known as the Victoria Hall when it was first opened as a concert venue for the borough on 8 February 1901.
In 1960 The Victoria Hall was purchased by Halifax Borough Council who carried out an extensive alteration and repair programme converting it from a concert hall into a theatre and changeing the name to The New Victoria.
In 1973 the name was changed again to The Civic Theatre and finally following the boundary changes in 1993 the theatre was given it's present name The Victoria Theatre.
